it finally occured to me that i do enough hamster wheeling at work to jump on an elliptical or running machine after 8 to physically replicate the same action.
it was the start of summer when i threw in the nubbly gym towel. but now that fall is here and the thought of running in the nipping cold seems less and less appealing, i may need to reconsider this hamster thing. fuck.

NO TREADMILLS!
Running in the icy weather is invigorating. put on some gloves and go for it girl.
dawn, hello. i can't stand the treadmill either. i refuse. sometimes i do the eliptical, but i can usually only last 15 minutes. it's just so painfully boring. i think part of what makes running great is moving from point a to point b, and all of the things you see in between. and feeling wind against your face and breathing fresh air.
but yes, it can be awful when it's cold outside. i used to start with a sprint as soon as i stepped outside, so that by the time the cold really hit, i was starting to warm up anyway...
how come my comments are posting as 'people who run'? i don't know how to post as 'mary t'
